Through the Magic of Software You, Too, Can Paint!
“Wait… You paint, too? You have way too much talent, my friend.” I’ve heard this numerous times when friends see my work, but I do break down and let them know my secret. No, I cannot paint. I can take a decent photograph, but I can’t draw or paint; however, through the magic of software, I can paint! After all, it’s art! Who cares how you get a result you (and others) love.
In this presentation, several different photos will be transformed using apps on an iPad, using various software plug-ins that work with Lightroom and Photoshop on the computer, and even using a couple of stand-alone paint programs. You’ll learn how to get your photo prepped for digital painting, get it into the software of your choice, choose from numerous looks and options, and then tweak it to perfection back in Lightroom and Photoshop. You’ll paint without ever having to clean a brush! Handouts will be provided along with a list of resources.
