Approaches to Photographic Restoration

Join us for our first General Meeting of 2024, ONLINE, Wednesday, January 3rd, 7:00pm. Chris Paulis, M.Photog.,M.Artist,Cr.,CPP, EA-ASP, MDPPA-F.Ph.,A.Ph, will be leading us through "Approaches to Photographic Restoration".

In this Zoom-Only session, we will explore the distinctive purposes and challenges of restoring photographs. We will examine a number of damaged photos to speculate on the challenges and walk through one or two of Chris’s recent restorations in a time-lapse fashion, where participants will see particular techniques that he finds productive and efficient. Our goal is to whet your appetite to step into this valuable realm of artistry.

He is a member of PPA, ASP, MDPPA, and PP of PA. He volunteered as a CPP Liaison from 2013 - 2021 and served a 4-year term on the MDPPA Board as well as 8 years as Certification chair for MDPPA. He has participated in photographic competition at the state (multiple states!), district, and IPC levels every year since 2013.
